New Max Payne Posters

Today it seems like poster day with all these posters like TRANSPORTER 3, and AUSTRALIA. And now reader
'Angelfromsky' provided Latino Review with a look at two new cool ass onesheets for
"Max Payne" starring Mark Wahlberg, Chris O'Donnell, Beau Bridges, Ludacris, Mila Kunis, Donal Logue, and Amaury Nolasco.
The film is due out this October.
Based on the legendary, hard-hitting interactive video game, "Max Payne" tells the story of a maverick cop determined to track down those responsible for the brutal murder of his family and partner. Hell-bent on revenge, his obsessive investigation takes him on a nightmare journey into a dark underworld. As the mystery deepens, Max (Wahlberg) is forced to battle enemies beyond the natural world and face an unthinkable betrayal.

I think Mark Wahlberg would have to be the BEST choice for Max Payne!. I don't think I'd really want to see it if it didn't have him in it. He has the talent, the look and can grasp any character he's been given. And it's already been filmed, it's almost released now and people are still going on about 'a better choice for the role', please just let it go. It's done now. However, I can't wait!. I'm anticipating it's release like crazy :) It looks amazing so far ;) and I know I'm going to the cinema to see - no matter what!.

1) the movie cannot be exactly like the game. reasons: to truly tell the story of just the original max payne would probably make this a trilogy or at least a two-part movie. as great as the story was it was pretty long and i dont mean the levels. there had to easily be approx 50 characters with names and personalities that max killed. as long as they bring in most of the storyline, ex ) the showdown at ragna rock , the inferno at punchinello manor, and the endgame at aesir, it will be enjoyable. 2) its a game becoming a movie. as amazing as the story was, it has to be a little different mainly because there are some things that probably wouldnt work. 3) the valkyries: max is drugged by mona sax at the end of part I and overdosed on valkyr by nicole horne at the end of part II so for the majority of the game, you have a beaten, bruised, slightly psychotic, drugged up killer. the portray that in a movie, representations like the valkyries are necessary. the window scene is probably just what max sees because they show the guy falling later in the trailer. its just like the scene of wahlberg screaming as the city ignites in a wall of fire behind him. just conveying what the game was able to.

Whoever thinks Clive Owen can act must be blind and deaf. I'm not saying Wahlberg is the right guy, but common, you gotta be kidding me, CLIVE OWEN!?!?!? He has no emotion, looks like a cardboard cutout when acting, and speaks in a monotone. Wow, fun.

There may be better choices out there but Marky Mark can act, given the right role. Check him out in "The Departed" and "We own the night". Also, check out the movie "The Big Hit" to get an example of him in a "super action" movie, which Im guessing this movie will be

oh... it will suck. 2 reasons. #1. Research the tool of a director who will surely ruin any chance of a good movie being made. #2. Mark can't act. Whoever said Clive Owen should've been the guy is a genius.

As a teenager, Wahlberg participated in several acts of violence and vandalism. He later claimed to have been in trouble 20-25 times with the Boston Police Department as a youth. By the age of thirteen Wahlberg had developed a serious addiction to cocaine and other substances.[3] At fifteen he harassed a group of African American school children on a field trip by throwing rocks (causing injuries) and shouting epithets.[4] When he was sixteen (again using racist language) after robbing a pharmacy under the influence of PCP, Wahlberg knocked a middle aged Vietnamese man unconscious, left another Vietnamese man permanently blinded in one eye, and attacked a security guard.[5][6][7] [7] For these crimes, Wahlberg was charged for attempted murder, pled guilty to assault, and was sentenced to two years in jail at Boston's Deer Island House of Correction, of which he served 45 days.[5][8] In yet another incident, the 21-year-old Wahlberg fractured the jaw of a neighbor in an unprovoked attack.[9] hes bad ass

Why did they choose mark wahlberg to play max payne? he doesn't have that look at all. surely there HAS to be someone else that could have and should have been chosen to play max payne. you can't tell me that they couldn't have gotten someone better than mark wahlberg from that role. oh yeah, and there better NOT be aliens in the damn movie. that would be so freaking stupid.

is everyone forgetting that in the game, the junkies would scream "the wings (the flesh, the blood, etc) of fallen angels!" im guessing the dark angels are hallucinations from the valkyr.

Ok, from what I've read, in order to keep up with his breakneck pace of killing people, Max ends up taking Valkyr, which gives him hallucinations. That's where all the creepy demon and angel things come in. They're hallucinations. And hallucinations totally fit into the Max Payne storyline.

apparently you didnt play max payne 2... which this movie seems to be blending both. There is a area in max payne 2 in a old theater where max battles demons and the demon summoner.

very brooding posters.Maybe they are going for the Valkyr (as in a valkyrie) as the devil angels. Probs jack lupino/ the occult stuff from the game will appear. i just hope this film doesnt suck
