Exclusive: 4th Halo: Fall of Reach Movie Concept Art!

Intel tells me that this is the climax of the movie where Master Chief is fighting to get Cortana off Reach. I think that's "Foehammer" in the Pelican flying towards him. I think it is safe to say the Spartans are totally screwed!Stuart Beattie’s proposed movie script is based on Halo: The Fall of Reach, a 2001 science fiction novel by Eric Nylund based on the Halo series of video games and acts as a prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, the first game in the series. It is set in the fictional Halo universe, taking place in the 26th century across several planets and locations. The novel details the events which led up to the game and explains the origins of the SPARTAN II super soldiers, narrating the story of the series protagonist, the Master Chief. " MASTERCHIEF never had to fight Covenant to get Cortana off Reach ( wtf ), when the Covenant attacked Reach Masterchief, Cortana, and the other Spartans were on the Pillar of Autumn preparing for their BIG MISSION (take control of a covenant vessel and find the Covenant's home planet, kidnap a Prophet and try to end the war)

Leeping up with the tradition of posting fakes? You can tell this one is a bad fake as well, half of the SPARTAN on there is Halo 3 concept and theor is that low calibur art being used for the spartans, alongside a heretic elite on there from halo 2 and the same background as the previous 'piece' of concept art. I'm sure theres something actually quite illegal about faking this sort of stuff :/

And o look moore images from Halo 3 photoshoped in, the spartan (its master chief from Halo 3, but he never fought on Reach ??? wtf), the pelican (thats from Halo 3 too, I the got the exact picture of that pelican), the banshee's, and O LOOK SparrowHawks from the Halo Wars concept art. People go see LOTR, Harry Potter, and Narnia because..... they have the names of LOTR, Harry Potter, and Narnia. People fall under the assumption that because these movies herald the names of true blue and trusted media in reading that as movies they have to obviously be good. They changed things that didn't need to for Potter like Lupin saying he knew Potters mom, and in the book it's his father Lupin knew. Not to mention, where the hell was Winky? He was a decent element in the book. I never said that Halo beat records the first night, so I don't know where you're spouting that ignorant crap from. If you only equivocate success with monetary gain than yes, Halo 3 was uber-fantasto-god, but if that were the case then oil companies in the U.S. have to be the best thing for us Americans since the invention of the wheel. It's amazing that companies would tell people that their game is going to be so great it will not only cook them breakfast, but do the dishes after wards to sell it. Halo 3 had one of the longest advertisement campaigns in gaming history. It rallied a lot of support and only companies that would give Microsoft and Bungie good reviews got the game early. A few months after the tard-fest release was over, low-and-behold site after site began giving Halo 3 average to mediocre reviews. In short: A Halo movie won't do the "books" justice. If another Halo game (minus Halo Wars) is released, even when they said there would be no more, would totally blow donkey **** because Microsoft has no imagination. As for facts and common sense... common sense is relative to the human beings experience so using that as an attack is fruitless, and facts seem to be construed by you to make yourself feel more intelligent. Opinions are like ***holes, everyone has one, and most of them stink.

Let's start with your first question... Most movies that have been based on books have done amazingly well... LOTR, Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, The Davinci Code, Etc. So you're already incorrect... The movie can and will be well done. I guarantee you... As far as the game goes, that's a matter of personal opinion. I just prefer to go by facts and common sense... you don't have any. TDK isn't grossing this much because of hype, but because it's AMAZING and that get's around by word of mouth. Halo 3 didn't break that all time grossing record on the first day, it took time dumbass. Movies and games don't break records if they truly suck... Remember that.

the number 1 reason this is fake is because its crap and nobody would ever hire a concept artist who sucks this much. 2: concept art is not rendered 3: 98% of concept art does not use motion blurs 4: theres a heretic elite 5: and a plasma pistol shooting pink

So whats the percentage of companies that mod a book into a movie ever do it right? A Halo movie is going to blow merely because the people adapting or creating will never capture the same feeling and personal visions that readers experience on their own. So in that regard, sit the hell down and shut up. As for sales on Halo 3, once again I go back to the hype meter. When a company is shooting out epic CG videos and proclaiming that this is going to be huge and you're going to "finish the fight," is going to get all the previous Halo fan-boys tight in the jeans. Considering what Halo and Halo 2 did for the FPS genre to begin with, gaming connectivity, and online gaming, it's no doubt people would believe that Halo 3 would up the ante along the same lines. It just didn't happen that way. You never finished the game, Microsoft and Bungie left the game open and incomplete. The online aspect was fantastic, but shouldn't be the sole reason for re-playability. I beat the game in a matter of hours on legendary and with very few deaths, that is not a good game. Next time, know what you're spouting before you speak.

If Halo was as mediocre as you claim it wouldn't have completely SMASHED the all time grossing recored for an entertainment product. Halo has sold more units then dvd players, computers, iphones... Etc, etc. You clearly have nooo idea what you're talking about. Anyone who reads the books knows that the storyline is amazing... It's complex, it's original and it's even better than the games themselves. Until you read the books... nobody has the rightto pass any judgement on any upcoming Halo films. PERIOD.

I would just like to say that I have been a Halo fan for quite a while now. I have read all four of the books and loved them. It is quite rare to hear that normally though, because usually anything based off of games, such as books and movies, usually do NOT turn out successful. This is the only exception, I believe. I think the Fall of Reach would be one of the most intriguing movies. It is not the "normal" superhero story, and is very unique and captivating. I think the general public, even those who play games, would enjoy this story/movie. And, if successful, can lead to follow ups, one movie for each book for example. I really do hope they go through with it. Oh, and nice picture =) Looks good.

some people take this waaaay to seriously. Fact-John got Cortana waaay early. like when his armor was upgraded. Fact-this image is 'based' off the books, not exactly THE BOOKS; things in movies get changed all the time to help the flow or whatever Also, even if this is some fake screenshot to troll hardcore halo fans, they're obviousy doing a great job judging from the overreactions on this page.

You guys are on crack man... Relaaax. 1st of all... John was trained on Reach for the majority of his life time. 2nd... Cortana was uploaded into John's suit for training exercises long before the covenant attacked. Do you not remember the part when he asks her to make a calculation on the fly so that he can deflect an incoming rocket during his training?? and 3rd it's fuckin concept art !! Chances are it IS left over pieces slopped together from the games. These are shitty story boards for relaying a vision of what the movie will feel like. And who gives a fuck if the fuckin beam rifle is RED??? I don't care if it's flourescent green !! as long as the movie is well done !! GOD DAMN IT you guys are soo fuckin picky and critical... No wonder this fuckin movie hasn't come out yet !

Master Chief never tries to get cortana off reach. He is never introduced to her until after his mission on the SPACE PLATFORM. Master Chief never lands on the planet in the first place.

I think this all seems to be hype/propaganda for your friend Stuart's spec script. Trying to build hype to show big daddy microsoft the interest in this and what has been done. Considering you are the only source for these updates on the spec script and the "concept art" of a movie that is just a concept by a writer in his room. Sorry but I've seen it done before and can't get into it.
