2 Spider-Man's For The Price of One
By Edgar 'El Toro' Arce on May 16, 2008

Saw this bit of info from the guys at
Cinematical saying that the next two Spider Man films could be shot at the same time. The main reason being that James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) did a treatment that has a huge story arc that spans 2 films.
So naturally Sony can smell the dinero, and figures shoot 2 for the price of one big one!! Now this could a good thing, and make big bucks for Sony, as long as they bring back Raimi and let’em shoot the Vanderbilt script. It’s my opinion that Raimi ran his course as a writer for the franchise.
I think its time he let in some fresh ideas, so as not to become a Lucas for Sony. Anyhow, let’s see what happens. Before Iron Man, Spidey was king. Now that there’s friendly competition in the Marvel camp, maybe this will breathe new creative life in the web slinger franchise!
What do you think?
Should Raimi write and direct? Or hand over the pen to someone new?
Will 4 and 5 be better than Iron Man? Or has Spiderman met his match???
