'Kenneth' over at
Alienexperience.com
alerted us on a bit of exclusive news on
"Alien
vs Predator: Survival of the Fittest", which is now the new
title of the film. Here is what they tell us.
"Rumblings from the Alien vs. Predator 2 camp confirm that veteran
cinematographer Daniel Pearl has indeed signed on as director of photography
for the next installment tentatively dubbed Survival of the Fittest. Pearl,
who's credits include an extensive array of music videos, much like Greg and
Colin Strause themselves, was also director of photography for both the original
and remake versions of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, making him no stranger
to the horror genre.
Also interesting to note, my sources also tell me that the controversial
and much hated 'Texas' script is out, and in fact was dead on the table before
Ain't it Cool News even reviewed it. Hence the shooting location based in Vancouver,
a city which would have a difficult time passing for Texas given all the rain
and tall trees... This, however, doesn't mean Salerno's out, but we can expect
a different script from him altogether."
The film is due out December 21, 2007.
