Beattie To Write G.I. Joe!!!
By Ryan 'The Rican with the Irish name' McLelland on August 30, 2007

There is a God! He's up there! And to think...I don't even believe in Jebus!
Though rumors have been abound all over the web the official news broke today: Stuart Beattie is writing G.I. Joe.
The man who has written Collateral, the Tom Clancy Without Remorse screenplay, and the good Pirates of the Carribbean flick is attached to bring some much needed life to a franchise that has almost been killed from the get-go.
We here at Latino Review are very, very vocal about G.I. Joe and for good reason...we are all MONSTER fans of the franchise.
El Mayimbe's G.I. Joe script review here sent shockwaves through Hollywood and even he said back then that Beattie should be the one writing this franchise.
We all got our wish. Maybe not the director we all wanted, but at least the writer.
Thank you Stu...WE LOVE YOU! NOW GET TO WORK!
G.I. Joe plans to start filming in February 2008 under the direction of Stephen Sommers (Van Helsing).
Agree or disagree that Beattie is the man for the job? Hit
