Breaking News: Clash of the Titans On Fast Track At WB

UPDATE!Clash got a director! Incredible Hulk's Louis Leterrier is now on board to direct per the trades this evening! El Mayimbe here… From what I’m hearing, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures are really keen on Lawrence Kasdan’s draft of CLASH OF THE TITANS. Warners is looking to rush CLASH OF THE TITANS into production however, Stephen Norrington has dropped out of directing the remake due to budgetary issues. Kasdan has become the go to guy over at Warners since he has now commenced the ROBOTECH rewrite. IESB who did the script review, say that Kasdan’s 06/27/07 draft kicks all sorts of ass. According to their guy, this Titan's Clash is closer to Zach Snyder's 300 than to The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad. It's written with a solid R rating in mind with nudity, sex and lots of gore-rific ugly deaths by really bad ass ugly monsters. The film will be a remake of the 1981 cult classic, the story revolves around Zeus' son, Perseus, and his journey to save Princess Andromeda during which he must complete various tasks set out by Zeus, including capturing Pegasus and slaying Medusa. The original marked the final film on which Ray Harryhausen did special effects. Stay tuned for further updates.
