Comic-Con Report 2008: TRON 2 Footage Shown!!!

Disney's surprise was footage of Tron 2!! The lightcycles were racing in new bikes similar to the old ones. One rider in blue was up against one in a yellow bike. The world looked the same yet evolved. The two riders were really trying to get the best of each other when the blue bike slips through a crack in the wall, the yellow rider goes another route and comes out from nowhere to surprise the blue rider and cut him off.

At this point they showed an older Flynn in an office overlooking the race in the world of Tron. When the blue bike goes down, the yellow rider takes off his disc and is ready to dispatch of him. The blue rider screams, "But this is just a game!"

The front part of the yellow riders helmet slowly disappears to show a young Flynn who says "Not anymore." He looked like an evil, younger Flynn and it was AWESOME.

Then the Tron 2 title was shown. I just peed in my pants.

I'm sorry guys, but THIS for me is the surprise of Comic-Con. The footage looked incredible and kept the look of the Tron universe while also having updated CGI and visual effects. It was also cool to see Jeff Bridges reprising his role. Hopefully we get to see this online soon!!
