Comic Con Report: 300 Panel!

300 is Frank Miller 100 %. Remember those digi scenes from Gladiator at the Roman Coliseum? Now, paste that wide sweeping, gargantuan imagery onto Kingdom of Heaven’s war game formations and super impose Achille’s Myrmidons storming the beach with a Sin City attitude and you’ll have a fledging glimpse of 300’s visual style.
Based on Frank Miller’s comic book, the movie re-tells the Battle of Thermopylae. As Frank Miller said, “This isn’t another sandal and sword movie.”
Apparently, doing the movie, or most of the filming on a blue screen stage, has nothing to do with saving money, or wow, let’s try digital. The movie will really bring the comic book to life just like Sin City. This is a great fucking story about 300 Spartans vs a massive Persian army.
