Exclusive: A Look At Tonight, He Comes
By Kellvin Chavez on May 9, 2007

Jonathan Mostow was attached to direct
"Tonight, He Comes" but dropped out of the picture (however he's remaining on as a producer). Mostow was followed by Gabriele Muccino, the director of the Will Smith drama,"The Pursuit of Happyness." Now comes word that Muccino is out and Peter Berg is in Columbia Pictures'
"Tonight, He Comes."The film also stars Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman.
Smith plays a down-and-out superhero who has a bad image with the public because he causes a lot of collateral damage while he solves crime, and he's an alcoholic. Bateman plays a corporate public relations consultant, who after being rescued by Smith tries to repay him by revamping his image. But while Bateman is trying to repair Smith’s reputation the superhero is secretly romancing Bateman’s alluring wife played by Theron.
Tonight, He Comes is scheduled to begin shooting in May with Columbia eyeing a 2008 release.
Berg recently completed filming The Kingdom starring Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner.
Our own loquito for coquito, El Mayimbe takes a look at the (long-in-development-hell) screenplay.
