Exclusive: Max Payne Film Clips

The folks over at 20th Century Fox have provided Latino Review with two EXCLUSIVE film clips for their upcoming movie version of the hit video game "Max Payne" starring Mark Wahlberg, Chris O'Donnell, Beau Bridges, Ludacris, Mila Kunis, Donal Logue, and Amaury Nolasco.The film is due October 17th 2008. Based on the legendary, hard-hitting interactive video game, "Max Payne" tells the story of a maverick cop determined to track down those responsible for the brutal murder of his family and partner. Hell-bent on revenge, his obsessive investigation takes him on a nightmare journey into a dark underworld. As a filmmaker and non-linear editor, I disagree with anyone defending the editing. As a fan of the series, I disagree with anyone who may be defending the integrity of the movie. It looks horrible and the cast is atrocious. Has any seen any interviews with Moore? He's clueless about it and he doesn't even care. Max Payne didn't even stand a chance.

This movie should have with out a dought been rated R. It should have been made by a bad ass company like the one that did the saw movies, or that Del Torro guy who did Hell Boy and Blade 2 and many other bad ass visual feast. A man like that would have turned this movie into what it should have realy been, the best damn video game made into movie ever made.

Those winged beasts you see are not only referenced in the game, but they are obviously not "real." It's clear that the guy in the second clip was on Valkyr, hallucinating and coerced by the creature to kill himself.

The first clip does suck... The second one however looks quite good. I think it has that same feeling as the first game.

I played both games to death and this game is very true to the games. There is explict supernatural stuff but i always felt that there was something like this bubbleing under the surface. I looking forward to the best movie based on a game yet

Ok haters...the average public doesn't know good editing most of the time, nor are they necessarily familiar with the game. This movie does have the potential to suck but what should be appreciated is that it is incredibly faithful to the game. No other movie based on a game has ever, EVER been this faithful. Granted there's a reason for that.

The editting in that first clip sucks... from when the guy gets the watch to what follows. If this is supposed to sell the movie, I'm pretty sure we've got a piece of shit on our hands. FOX SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
