More to the Cloverfield story??

Is there more to the Cloverfield story? Not much has been released about the film, but apparently there's a manga going around that may explain some things that happen before the monster attack. I can't read Japanese, so I have no idea what the characters are saying, but readers curious as to what Cloverfield is may get more clues here:

Click on the picture of the guy with the buggy eyes. That will take you to the manga comic so you can see for yourself. So if there's a comic going on, is there more to this story even after the film has been released? We haven't really seen breakthrough internet marketing since Blair Witch, so will this story continue once the movie has left the theater? And how will it continue? More movies? TV?
