Quantum Of Solace Makes Do Without Famous Bond Introduction

Casino Royale brought many changes to the Bond universe, most notably the absence of crazy gadgets and silly Bond girls like Lloyd Christmas or whatever the fuck Denise Richards' name was in The World Is Not Enough. Now there is another slight change that Bond fans may notice when watching the new Quantum of Solace. The Independent has more: His name is Bond, James Bond: just don't expect him to introduce himself. For the first time in his 22 screen outings, Britain's best- known secret agent will not utter the words of introduction that have thrilled fans and appalled master criminals for 46 years. Nor in his next adventure, Quantum of Solace, released in November, does 007 utter the other classic one-liner – "shaken not stirred" – when ordering his martini, according to the director, Marc Forster. "There was a 'Bond, James Bond' in the script," he said. "There are several places where we shot it as well, but it never worked as we hoped. I just felt we should cut it out, and Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson [the film's producers] agreed, and Daniel [Craig, who plays Bond] agreed, too. It's nice to be open-minded about the Bond formula. You can always go back to them later on." I did some further research and managed to scrounge up a previously unreleased photo from Quantum of Solace. Turns out the catchphrase isn't cut from the movie, it's just that James Bond has gotten really, really lazy.

When that fag Roger Moore, or that lifeless Timothy Dalton or that cheesy ass Pierce Brosnan walk into a room... I could careless and am more afraid of them stealing my gf then causing me harm. If Daniel Craig walked into a room, I'd bescared as hell. That is one badass mother fucker. That guy will kill your family, rape your gf and then take their ashes and make a protein shake to prepare for his next mission...

To call Casino Royale or the upcoming Quantum of Solace anything close to Mediocre or even a simple action film, is completely inaccurate and tells me that you aren't educated in the art of film direction, or script writing. Daniel Craig is the BEST Bond in the franchises history. I'm sick of campy, cheesy horrible dialogue and pussy ass wimps who don't look very intimidating at all...

what they have done, in effect, is find out what sets a bond movie apart from a normal action film (kicking ass in a tux, fast car chases, the missiles, the gadgets, the classic lines, the "gentleman spy") and taken them out. so what are you left with? a british bruce willis in another mediocre action film, that's what.

I don't think it's necessary to have him say the same shit all the time either. It's too Cliche. I love it when the guy asked him in Casino Royale Shaken or Stirred? and he replies "Does it look like I give a shit" lol THAT is much more badass and the reason I like Daniel Craig the best as Bond. I wanna see something new not the same shit I've seen the past 20 films.
