Santa Brings The Dark Knight For X-Mas
By George 'El Guapo' Roush on April 17, 2008

A mystery informant located deep within the bowels of Hollywood has given us information on the release date of The Dark Knight DVD and it looks likes it's coming just in time for Christmas.
On
December 9th, 2008 expect
The Dark Knight to hit store shelves and be a huge seller this holiday season.
And if that isn't enough,
Speed Racer will cross the finish line into stores on
November 25th, 2008 just in time for Black Friday weekend!!
But that's not all for DVD and the Caped Crusader. Those of you who have been bitching (guilty!) about Batman Begins only being on HD-DVD,
DVDACTIVE has the pics and article about the Blu-Ray release on July 8th, 2008 along with a limited edition gift set. Here's more:
Warner Home Video has announced the Blu-ray release of Batman Begins for the 8th of July, priced at around $28.99. A limited edition gift set will also be available on the 8th, priced at around $49.99. Both releases will include 'The Dark Knight Prologue' (the first six minutes of the film), while the gift set also features a Batman Begins motion art lenticular, a 32-page booklet including an all-new DC Comics comic book adaptation of The Dark Knight prologue, exclusive photos, script pages and story boards. The Gift Set will also include five Batman Begins collectible postcards with never-before printed key art from the theatrical release, as well as $7.50 'movie cash' towards the purchase of an adult ticket to see The Dark Knight in theaters.

AND if that still isn't enough,
DVDACTIVE also has pics and information on the July 8, 2008 release of the animated Batman: Gotham Knight.
Warner Home Video has officially announced 1-disc ($24.98) and 2-disc ($29.98) releases of Batman: Gotham Knight in which six interlocking stories reveal how Bruce Wayne became Batman. The film will be released to coincide with the theatrical release of The Dark Knight, on the 8th July. The full details have yet to be revealed, although we can confirm that the 2-disc release will include an audio commentary, a documentary, featurettes, and a sneak peak at the upcoming Wonder Woman film. A Blu-ray release will also be available for $34.99 with all of the 2-disc features.
