Spielberg Gets His Lincoln On
By Ryan 'The Rican with the Irish name' McLelland on May 12, 2008

Steven Spielberg is finally going to get his Abraham Lincoln movie off the ground.
That's a good thing. Spielberg cannot end a movie anymore. Ever since A.I. he seems to film the end to a movie........only for it to go on for another 30 minutes AFTER his ending. Happened with The Terminal and Munich...and War of the Worlds should have ended about fifteen minutes into the film. My children's children will remember the awful experience I had with that awful, awful film.
But redemption is coming right? Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull followed by Tintin? Maybe these films are what Spielberg needed to get his mojo back and finally go back to his "dream" Lincoln project. The man had cast Liam Neeson as the 16 Prez nearly three years ago and Qui-Gon has been waiting around only to see shooting NOT begin.
Wait no longer Liam. Spielberg finally has said he has returned his attention to the project for possible filming to start early next year (Tintin being shot this fall). Course it also helps that the flick has a kickass script already waiting in the wings by Angels in America's Tony Kushner.
