Tonight, we make $27.7 milion!!

300 made $27.7 million on its opening Friday! Of course, this includes midnight showing and IMAX screenings as well, so it's not all that surprising.
Since the movie is aimed at males who are more apt to venture out to see 300 on the first day, it might not be expected to maintain this average over the weekend. But it won't be surprising if it does considering that 300 is a movie that will have a big re-draw as well. And not to mention the gals who want to see all those buff Spartan bods but who won't have a problem waiting for an afternoon screening.
Congratulations to Zack Snyder, Frank Miller and the WB!
It's also great news for fan boys since we can now expect Zack Snyder's next project, Watchmen, to be fast tracked first thing Monday morning!
