Two more join G.I. Joe

By George 'El Guapo' Roush on January 29, 2008

Like EL Mayimbe reported back on the 17th, Channing Tatum was one of three to be chosen as Duke in G.I. Joe and he got the gig. Dennis Quaid will also be cast as General Hawk and actually brings some acting believability to this movie. Knowing is half the battle and so far I know the casting has not been impressive except for Dennis Quaid and Ray Park.

From Variety:

Dennis Quaid and Channing Tatum have been set as the leads in Paramount's actioner "G.I. Joe."

Quaid will play General Hawk, the grizzled team leader and Tatum will play Duke Hauser, the lead soldier in the Stephen Sommers-directed film, which is scheduled to shoot next month in L.A. Pic is set for release on Aug. 7, 2009.
